Robert P. Lindeman, MD, PhD of Natick Pediatrics, P.C. was notified recently that two of his Family Health columns published in Bay State Parent magazine won a second-place silver writing award from Parenting Publications of America.
Submitted to the competition by the publisher, Dr. Lindeman's articles were praised by the judges. He was cited as "a physician (who) speaks with authority in layman's terms and shares his insights and practical advice with a user-friendly voice."
Topics of the award-winning articles were "4 steps to take to choose a pediatrician," and "Viruses that dare not speak their names."
More than 120 parenting publications from the United States, Canada, and Australia completed in the contest. In all there were 1,048 entries in 51 categories.
Natick Pediatrics is located at the Leonard Morse Campus of the MetroWest Medical Center in South Natick. Dr. Lindeman is board-certified in general pediatrics and pediatric pulmonary medicine. His solo practice is dedicated to all aspects of childhood and adolescent health care, with a specialty in diseases of the lung, such as asthma, chronic cough and cystic fibrosis in children.
Dr. Lindeman earned his undergraduate degree at Yale University in New Haven, and earned MD and PhD degrees from Columbia University in New York City. He completed his medical training at Childrens Hospital in Boston. A popular guest speaker, he is available to address local groups in his areas of expertise.
